I recently visited Sheffield’s new Tourist Information building situated next to the entrance of the Winter Garden opposite Tudor Square.
I was so disappointed to see how small the shop is and I wonder if anyone else thinks the same?
We have so much to offer in and around Sheffield such as the beautiful Derbyshire and Peak District, the many attractions in Yorkshire and venues of every description.
These should be showcased in a building that is appropriate and promotes the city and surrounding areas.
The Chesterfield Tourist Information and that in Rotherham are far better than ours in Sheffield.
I am aware that money is short and these things are costly, but I feel that this shop is often the first place people who are new to our area visit.
Surely first impressions are important and a good reflection on the city.
Please Sheffield, can’t you do better than this?
