ERIC Boocock celebrates his 50th year in speedway but insists his enthusiasm for the sport is as strong as ever.
The former England boss is once again in charge of Sheffield Tigers and says his side have what it takes to be a real threat in the Premier League.
After challenge matches against Scunthorpe and Belle Vue, the Owlerton club start their league schedule at Rye House on Saturday and then launch their home league programme against former favourite Lee Complin and the Berwick Bandits next Thursday.
Boocock said: “I still love the sport. I’ve been very fortunate to be involved for this long and Sheffield is a great club for me to be at.”
