KELL Brook now knows who his opponent will be if he beats Carson Jones in his IBF world title eliminator next month.
The vacant IBF belt was won by Floridan Randall Bailey, aged 37, in a night of shocks in Las Vegas.
He stopped the younger and unbeaten Mike Jones in the 11th round.
Jones had been floored in the 10th and11th rounds before the referee ended the contest.
A win for Brook against Jones at the Motorpoint Arena will make him the mandatory challenger for new champion Bailey.
In a shock night, numerous weight world champion Manny Pacquiao was beaten on majority decision by Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand.
Curtis Woodhouse suffered a fifth round knock-out at the Magna Centre against a man ‘who punches like a mule.’
But the former Blade is hopeful that his and Alfreton’s Dale Miles’ paths will cross again. He had been doing well but Miles’ greater presence and punch power swang the fight in his favour.
