Sheffield boxing: Galahad nails Ghana rival

Kid Galahad tonight shrugged off the ring rust to TKO an African boxer who had never been stopped before.

The slick Sheffield super bantamweight dominated Isaac Nettey at Bluewater in Kent.

After a careful start, following six months off, Galahad stepped on the gas - and it was no surprise when the ref waded in to stop what was becoming a one-sided contest.

Galahad had mixed his shots so competently that Nettey didn’t know where he was going to get hit next.

A pummelling on one corner was enough for the official to step in.

It was a disaster for the Ghanian, who lost a proud record.

For Galahad, it was his 14th straight victory.

Sheffield stablemate Tyan Booth was TKO’d in the final eighth round against Chris Eubank Jr.

Booth had started well, but was cut above the eye and was clearly struggling before the end.
