Sheffield United starlet Che Adams has been rewarded for his early season form by being called into the England under-20 squad.
The Blades midfielder is in line to feature in that side's match against Czech Republic at Shrewsbury on September 7.
Adams, who has two goals so far this season - both of them against Chesterfield - is part of a quartet of United players who have been called up by their respective countries for upcoming internationals.
Central defensive loanee David Edgar is in the Canada squad for their World Cup qualifying double header against Belize, while Callam McFadzean is in Scotland's under 21 squad for the European Championships qualifier against Northern Ireland at Mourneview Park, Lurgan on September 5.
Louis Reed has also kept his place in the England under 19s set-up, featuring in the squad for games away to Germany and Croatia.
Having four players called up would allow United the option of having their match against Colchester rearranged, however boss Nigel Adkins has stated that he hopes the game will go ahead as scheduled.
He said: "We will do everything we can to keep the game on because we don't want to fall behind on the games programme. At this stage we want the fixture against Colchester to go ahead."
