Out-of-favour Sheffield United striker Chris Porter has today joined League Two leaders Chesterfield on loan, writes Dom Howson.
The Wigan-born forward, who is set to stay at the Proact Stadium until November 2, is in line to make his Spireites debut against Morecambe tomorrow.
Porter, who began his professional career at Bury, before enjoying spells at Oldham Athletic, Motherwell and Derby County, has not featured for the Blades since starting their derby defeat at Rotherham United last month.
Since arriving on a free transfer from Derby in the summer of 2011, the 29-year-old has bagged 12 goals in 47 starts.
Meanwhile, United have extended Manchester City striker Harry Bunn’s youth loan by a further month.
