Sheffield United boss Nigel Adkins was pleased to 'get back on track' after a 3-1 win over Doncaster Rovers ended a winless run of three league games.
United had lost their previous two home games - to Bury and Colchester - and followed that up with a 2-2 draw at Bradford City last Sunday.
However, the slick, attacking football which had been the mark of Adkins team prior to those three matches, returned against Rovers and United could have easily scored more than the three they registered.
Chris Basham's volley had the Blades in front before Cameron Stewart equalised for Rovers from a free kick.
Conor Sammon scored again for the home side and Gary Mackenzie's red card for a high challenge on Craig Alcock made Rob Jones' side's challenge even more difficult.
The seal was put on the victory by former Rovers' frontman Billy Sharp, leaving Adkins delight by the winning margin.
