Sheffield United launched their new away kit for the upcoming season, with a brightly coloured effort, officially called ‘macaw green’.
Hundreds of supporters turned up in the Sheffield sunshine at Meadowhall’s Summer Beach Shack, to witness the unveiling by players Kieron Freeman, Billy Sharp, Che Adams, Louis Reed and George Long.
Blades boss Nigel Adkins praised the “passion and dedication” of the supporters he has witnessed since becoming at the beginning of June and said he hoped the new kit would be one worn by a successful side.
The players signed autographs and had their pictures taken with fans who queued to see their heroes.
How will the new kit compare to some of United’s change strips down the years?
There have been, in hindsight, a few howlers which are best wiped from the memory, but there have been a few other decent numbers.
