MICKY Adams faces an anxious wait before discovering whether the latest round of Euro 2012 qualifiers will have a negative impact on Sheffield United’s survival campaign.

Strikers Ched Evans and Daniel Bogdanovic reported for international duty following last weekend’s victory over Leeds after receiving their respective call-ups from Wales and Malta.

Adams, who is expected to include both in his plans when United return to Championship action at QPR next month, said: “I’m delighted for anyone who gets the opportunity to represent their country. It’s a recognition of the effort and performances they have put in.

“But it’s always a mixed blessing for those of us at club level because you’re also keeping your fingers crossed that they come back okay.

“If they do well then it can only be a good thing for us because it puts them in a really positive frame of mind.”

United, who elected not to re-enter the loan market before last night’s deadline for emergency signings, climbed to 22nd in the table when they beat Simon Grayson’s side.

Bjorn Helge Riise, who was on target during that 2-0 win, has been selected by Norway for their meeting with Denmark while Shane Lowry is training with Australia’s development squad.

Evans is poised to learn shortly if he will start against England tomorrow while Bogdanovic is expected to feature against Greece.
