WATCH: Chris Wilder's message to Sheffield United fans after battling point at Oldham keeps them ten points clear of third

Chris Wilder believes Sheffield United's supporters should not be too downhearted with his side's point at Oldham yesterday.

The Boundary Park pitch proved a great leveller between sides ranked top and 19th in the table respectively before kick off, and United had to come from behind with Jay O'Shea's screamer to remain ten points clear of third-placed Fleetwood.

Bolton, in second, cut the gap between them and United to four points by beating Shrewsbury but Wilder said: "They were really difficult conditions at Oldham. But these things you have to get over sometimes, and I'm delighted we got a point.

"It was always going to be a scramble but I told the players not to be disappointed out there. It's another point and an accumulation of points gets you out of a division or wins you something.

"Some fans will walk away and feel down but I don't think that's right, it was another battling performance. We have played great football all season but we had to adjust today."
