Sheffield United extended their unbeaten run to eight games by smashing Port Vale 4-0 at Bramall Lane this afternoon.
But according to James Shield, The Star’s Blades expert, Chris Wilder’s side can get even better - which is ominous for the rest of their League One rivals.
Ethan Ebanks-Landell’s brace, added to strikes by Mark Duffy and substitute Stefan Scougall, ensured a comfortable afternoon for United - and it could have been even better, too, with FOUR Blades goals disallowed for offside!
And James, in our video chat which can be viewed above, said: “Chris has said for some time that, with the way his side plays, someone would get a hiding and today it was Port Vale who got that hiding - and no-one, apart from the Port Vale bench - would have complained if the margin of victory had been any greater.
“Mark Duffy and John Fleck were excellent, as was Matt Done, and United will look back on that and say there are things we could do better. And to be able to say that, after such a comprehensive victory, is a real positive.”
