Stocksbridge Park Steels boss Darren Schofield has made Chris White his first signing of the summer.

The attacking wide midfield player moves to Bracken Moor from Worsbrough Bridge Athletic where he notched 20 goals for the Northern Counties East League Division One side.

White has previously played in the Evo-Stik League for Frickley Athletic, Sheffield FC and North Ferriby United.

Schofield also confirmed that former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Matt Hamshaw along with Alex Callery and defender Nicky Swirad have all put pen to paper on new deals.

Meanwhile, on the outgoing side, vice captain Richard Haigh looks set to join NCEL Worksop Parramore.

Worksop Town have clinched the signing of Jack Muldoon from Conference North side North Ferriby United.

The striker hit 24 goals last term helping fire Ferriby to promotion from the Evo-Stik league before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Sheffield FC.

Club boss Ian Whitehorne only last week admitted defeat in trying to bring Muldoon back to Dronfield on a permanent basis due to a cut to the playing budget.

But Shaw was delighted to have landed the much sought-after 24 year-old forward who also had two successful seasons at Stocksbridge before moving to Ferriby last summer. Shaw said: “Jack will add even more firepower to what I believe is a very strong attacking side. He is a powerful and skilful player who will fit in perfectly.”
