KIERAN Lee, Sheffield Wednesday’s latest signing, has set his sights on the Premier League after completing a free transfer from Oldham Athletic.
Lee, who scooped all four of Oldham’s ‘Player of the Year’ awards in 2011-12, has signed a three-year deal at Hillsborough after returning from a holiday which held up the move.
“Obviously it was the Championship football that Wednesday could offer me, which first attracted me to the club,” Lee told the Sheffield Telegraph.
“It’s a good step up for me, to join a big club with a lot of ambition. They’re on a high after promotion last season, and I’m sure they’ll be pushing to reach the Play-Offs and get promoted again next term.”
Lee learnt his trade at Manchester United’s academy, making his Premier League debut against Chelsea in May 2007, before joining Oldham on a free transfer.
