Sheffield Wednesday are close to turning Jack Hunt's loan into a permanent move, The Star understands.
The attack-minded right-back, an unused substitute in the Owls' win over Fulham in the FA Cup today, is currently on a season-long loan to Wednesday from Premier League side Crystal Palace.
But Hunt, who started his career at Huddersfield Town, has shone this season, featuring 21 times in Wednesday's push towards the Championship's play-off positions.
It is now believed the Owls have agreed a deal to sign the defender on a full-time basis from Palace.
The 25-year-old moved to Palace in 2013 from the Terriers but has failed to make a single appearance for the London outfit. He joined Nottingham Forest and Rotherham United on a temporary basis last season.
He has also previously had loan spells with Barnsley and Chesterfield.
