SHEFFIELD Wednesday failed to beat bottom side Plymouth who went into administration this week - but still managed to beat the Owls 4-2 at Hillsborough, writes digital editor Graham Walker.

Plymouth took a 2-0 first-half lead through Bondz N’Gala and Joe Mason, before substitute Giles Coke pulled one back for the Owls on the hour.

Mason’s second and one from Yannick Bolasie made it 4-1, before Reda Johnson grabbed a late consolation for Wednesday.

That took Plymouth within a point of second-bottom Bristol Rovers, who lost 2-0 at home to Dagenham and Redbridge, with Danny Green and Romain Vincelot netting.
