Stevie May has urged his Wednesday team mates to show the same passion they did at Rotherham as they head into another derby clash this afternoon.

The Owls sealed a remarkable 3-2 win deep into injury time against the Millers before the international break.

And May wants more of the same desire today when they host Huddersfield Town.

“If we can play anything like we did in that last half hour of the Rotherham game and show the same spirit and desire, then we have got a great chance,” May said.

“We want to take the momentum we have got from the Rotherham game into the next two matches over Easter.

“It will be a good game against Huddersfield and hopefully we can get the win.”

May has started just one of the Owls’ last seven matches but expects he will get some game during the busy Easter period which brings two games in three days.

He said: “There’s a good chance the squad will be used over the next two games but we are all ready to go.

“It’s something you have to do. Players deal with playing in different ways.

“It’s definitely when the squad is tested. If you’re struggling at a time, with only a certain amount of players and you’ve got injuries then it could be a problem.

“We have a lot of quality players here who are waiting in the wings so we are in good position to cope with the games.

“The day in between is a big thing. If you recover in the right way, that’s a big part of it.”

Sergiu Bus is expected to return to the Owls squad for today’s Yorkshire derby after recovering from a groin injury while Kamil Zayatte is back in contention.

Will Keane and Jeremy Helan will be assessed late as they struggle with respective ankle and groin problems.
