Jos Luhukay has made just two changes to the Sheffield Wednesday side that beat Millwall on Tuesday, with Ipswich Town today’s opponents at Hillsborough.

Steven Fletcher has been replaced by Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao celebrates his new Owls contract by taking up a starting role for the first time this season.

Joao, who agreed a new deal this week which will keep him at the club until at least 2021, came off the bench in the opening day defeat to Wigan and hasn’t appeared since after picking up a groin injury.

Fernando Forestieri remains on the bench, as does Sam Hutchinson.

Owls starting XI: Dawson; Palmer, Lees, Thorniley, Penney; Pelupessy, Bannan, Reach; João, Nuhiu, Matias. Subs: Wildsmith, Fox, Fletcher, Hutchinson, Baker, Kirby, Forestieri.
