ROTHERHAM United manager Steve Evans is still working on his eighth signing although he had hoped to have something tied up by now.

He has inquired about a striker for whom he was willing to pay a fee but his club now don’t want to sell him.

Sources in Scotland say Dundee’s 19-year-old striker Leighton Mcintosh has been attracting interest with Rotherham among those to have checked on him.

Former Millers striker Brian Sawyer is the guest at the meeting of Rotherham United Nostalgia Society at the Green Dragon, Kimberworth tonight (8.30).
