Going for goals at the double

Will it be another goalfest for Sheffield Hallam Ladies first team?

Earlier in the season they destroyed Wigton 9-0 at Abbeydale and they recommence their North Premier Division programme on Saturday with the return fixture in Carlisle.

Wigton have improved since that beating but Hallam will be looking to complete a winning double.

The second team were involved in a topsy-turvey clash against Ben Rhydding which finally ended in a 3-3 draw. They went behind to a sloppy goal but hit back to take a half-time lead thanks to goals from Vikki Lawrence and Megan Creehan. Hallam then conceded two goals in the space of 15 minutes but they regrouped and Becks Coey netted the equaliser.

South Yorkshire rivals and Yorkshire Premier League leaders Doncaster drop in at Abbeydale on Saturday (10.15am).

Emily Price was on target for the Thirds in the 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Leeds Adel Carnegie. Hallam remain bottom of Yorkshire Division 2, two points behind Carnegie and a further five adrift of Halifax.
