Past and present players came together to help celebrate a milestone in the history of City of Sheffield Hatters.
Founder Betty Codona was on hand to welcome players, volunteers, supporters and friends at a special reunion to mark the club’s 50 anniversary.
Players from far and wide - former skipper Anna Hay flew in from America - and across the years swapped stories and shared memories at the Skyline Suite at Pond’s Forge. There were photographs and articles from across the years as well as highlights of past games on TV.
Betty said: “It was great to see so many people there spanning the 50 years. There were six players - including me - from our earliest National League team and we all felt the same team feeling and enjoyment we did when we played together so many years ago.”
Head coach Vanessa Ellis added: “To have so many Hatters, of very different ages, and supporters all together was very special.”
