Last Saturday saw one of Sheffield Tigers’ best forward displays of the season, as they beat third-placed Darlington Mowden Park away from home.
Jamie Broadley scored three tries as Tigers turned around a half-time defecit to win 31-28.
Tigers: Cone, White, Simmons, Joel, Pearson S (Walker), Argyle, Wragg (Bennett), Pearson N, Drage, Outram, Graham, Parker (Buchanan), Broadley, Wallace, Swatkins. Replacements not used: Bird, Whitworth
Tigers now have four consecutive home fixtures, starting on Saturday against Hull.
Hull sit eleventh in the league, which doesn’t do justice to the season they’ve had.
They have lost out very narrowly against sides this year, and failed to collect bonus points.
Even Tigers’ last opponents, Darlington, could only just manage to scrape a two-point win against them.
In their last encounter, Hull beat Tigers 40-31.
“We have won two tough games in a row now, and the lads have really stepped up to the mark,” Tigers coach Ben Wade said.
“With all four remaining games at Dore Moor, I’m sure the home support will help us finish the season strongly .”
