This morning saw him at iceSheffield, in his second practice session with the British side.

The 6ft 5ins American hasn’t played for six months after a serious groin injury at the back end of last season.

But he is raring to go now and makes his Sheffield debut at Fife Flyers tomorrow.

“I feel 100 per cent and am pleased to have the opportunity to play here” he said.

Sestito, 25, will be the team’s new enforcer, but he also wants to develop offensive skills and increase his speed on the bigger European-sized ice pads.

Team-mate Drew Fata said his arrival was well-timed, as the club has injury problems at the moment.
