Rob Dowd admits his concussion injury has been a “scary” time him.
The Sheffield Steelers forward has missed the last four games since his head hammered into the boards against Nottingham Panthers.
There have been no shortage of symptoms, he says.
“I have had nausea, confusion, short term memory loss, a whiplash cricked-neck and a short temper.
“It has been a bit scary. I have been in lock-down in my house but I am starting to feel better now” he said.
“The club has been great with me, there is no one going to be pushing me to get back earlier than I should be. The main thing is that I am on the mend.”
Steelers have no game this weekend.
