David Bellego has hailed the togetherness in Sheffield’s six-man team.
The French ace has made a fine return from injury with some impressive scores and is relishing the rest of the season - starting at home to Workington this Thursday.
The Owlerton side are still relying on guests as cover for injured skipper Simon Stead who is likely to be out for the season with leg and arm injuries. Aussie ace Brady Kurtz takes his place on Thursday.
Said Bellego: “We’re gelling good as a team again now and that’s really important in speedway if you want to do well. We’re all really up for it, we all want to score well ourselves and we all want to get big results as a team too.
“I’m very happy with how I’ve come back on the bike; after coming back from injury it always takes a bit of time to get back racing how you were before but I’m feeling good right now.
“The fixtures have been a bit quiet since I’ve been fit again.
“We have to wait until Thursday now for another meeting, but then we have a really busy couple of month. I’m excited for them and really looking forward to getting some more big scores.
“It’s a big half of the season for me coming up; I want to progress a lot and I want to work my way up the Sheffield team.”
