Sheffield High School starlet Olivia Noble received her Ladies Singles County Tennis Championship trophy from Jonny Marray - and insisted: This is just the beginning.
Olivia, a Year 12 pupil at the school, won a number of awards at the annual Yorkshire tennis presentation, including Girls U18 Singles County Champion and the acclaimed ‘Best performance in the U18 County Cup’ crown, presented by Wimbledon doubles champion Marray.
“Attending national finals for me is just a way of giving a little bit back to the school and especially the PE department for all the hard work they do,” Olivia said.
“So far I’ve attended seven national finals for the school - and I don’t plan on stopping there!”
Olivia has represented her county since the Under-10 age group. She competed in the ‘Road to Wimbledon’ competition, and reached the final in the Under-14s category.
“Olivia never fails to amaze the school with her amazing abilities,” a school spokesperson said.
“She has gone on to achieve unrivalled success ever since the Wimbledon event, and is a talented all-round sportswoman and an extremely loyal supporter of school sport in a range of disciplines .”
