sheffield Steelers U19s picked up their fourth victory from four games - but didn’t have it all their own way against a spirited Stellor side,
Sheffield started sluggishly but picked up the first score after a trademark run and shot from Lawrence Aspin, who gathered his own rebound to net in the first couple of minutes.
The first quarter ended 1-1, however, after the Stellor defence cleared well for a fast break goal.
Sheffield had a nightmare second quarter and despite having the majority of the posession, reached half time 3-1 down. Only Clohessy in goal kept Steelers in the game, as Stellor should have had even more.
Stellor currently sit bottom of the table but their performance here clearly belied their lowly standings.
Sheffield’s Adam Jordan scored an early goal to get them back in the game, and Matt Moroney then set up James Rosario to level the scores at the end of the third quarter.
Jordan added his second of the night in the last quarter, before Dan Hardy secured the win for Steelers. Next week, Steelers face a title decider against Timperley.
