Sheffield Steeldogs have new owners.
Ali Cree and Robin Grayson have taken over over the running of the iceSheffield English Premier League side.
They are business people: Ali runs Jersey53 (UK) and Robin is Director of Digisoft.
On Monday ownership was passed from Shane Smith, who wants to "concentrate fully on Hull Pirates and his personal business commitments."
Elite League Sheffield Steelers owner Tony Smith had show an interest in the "noisy neighbours" a few months ago.
But after discussing the matter with his management team, he decided against investing time and money into the Dogs.
A Dogs press released said: "Ali and Robin are both incredibly excited to take on this new opportunity and really push this loyal and talented team of players forward for the rest of the season. There is already a lot of work going on behind the scenes to move the club forward and to make the match night experience better for everyone."
Steeldogs Coach Greg Wood said; “They took the time out to come and speak to the team as a whole and explain their plans for the club and all of us are 100% on board. On the ice we have had a good start to the season and I think the Ali and Robin will help the club kick on to the next level."
The first home game under the new ownership is Sunday ce the Bracknell Bees at iceSheffield at 5.30pm.
