It’s all part of the fun for Dronfield Musical Theatre Group’s 2020 pantomime Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, a colourful re-working of the famous fairy tale, which tells the story of the golden haired girl who can’t resist porridge and falling asleep in other peoples’ beds!

“But this is very definitely the pantomime version,” says director Andrea Powell, who has been in charge of the group’s pantomimes for almost 20 years.

She adds: “Dronfield’s pantomimes seem to grow bigger and more popular every year and Goldilocks is a fun-packed show with lots of silliness and the usual ingredients that make our pantomime as special.

The cast has many pantomime favourites with Ellie Ashmore in the title role, Richard Gilson as daddy bear, Lindsay Ashmore as mummy bear and Lily Ward as baby bear.

Gavin Ward dons a frock and lippy again as dame and Tommy Jones is a villainous Queen Bee. Then there are a whole range of characters from hapless woodsmen to very busy bumble bees.

Goldilocks runs at Dronfield Civic Hall from Friday, January 17, to Sunday, January 26, with various evening and matinee performances in between.

Tickets are £10 (£9 for 14 and under). Call 01246 416364. Full details at www.dronfieldmtg.co.uk
