Having introduced their unique brand of farce and slapstick with the multi award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, Mischief Theatre now bring to Sheffield their riotous spin on a timeless classic, Peter Pan Goes Wrong.

Co-written by Mischief Theatre founder members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, Peter Pan Goes Wrong is a highly physical comedy delivered with split-second timing and ambitious daring.

The members of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society are back on stage, battling technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes as they attempt to present J.M Barrie’s much-loved tale.

The touring cast includes Romayne Andrews, Tom Babbage, Georgia Bradley, Connor Crawford, Katy Daghorn, Phoebe Ellabani, Ciaran Kellgren, Ethan Moorhouse, Oliver Senton, and Patrick Warner.

Nominated for an Olivier Award for ‘Best New Comedy’ in 2016, Peter Pan Goes Wrong has enjoyed two West End seasons, a tour of Australia and New Zealand and a previous UK tour. A one-hour version of the show was broadcast on primetime BBC One in December 2016, starring David Suchet as the guest narrator and watched by an audience of over six million worldwide.

Mischief Theatre began when a group of graduates from drama school who formed an impro comedy troupe and then decided they wanted to do something more scripted. The result was The Play That Goes Wrong that premiered in a London pub theatre in 2012.

Since then they have become a global phenomenon, currently performing on five continents and 35 countries.

Last year saw yet another chapter in the Mischief success story when in September it began a year long residency at the Vaudeville Theatre in addition to their still-running productions of The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery in London’s West End.

Currently running is Magic Goes Wrong, a collaboration between the company and Penn & Teller that combines the Mischief comedy format with stage magic.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is at the Lyceum, Sheffield, from Tuesday to Saturday, January 28 to February 1.
