A swashbuckling family pantomime bursts on to the beautiful stage at Penistone Paramount this month.

Running between January 23 and February 1, and brought to you by Penistone Theatre Group, Peter Pan, follows the adventures of the Darling children after they follow Peter Pan to Neverland.

With an original script written by t heatre group member Katie Cartwright, the entire show is created, produced, directed and acted by local residents who give up their free time to produce a pantomime every year.

The cast of course includes a full child’s chorus which has been selected from the area’s schoolchildren.

With costumes, set, and props all lovingly created from scratch, music produced and sung by talented residents, and of course the acting and directing done all be group members, the most common remark by previous audience members is that they had no idea of the high standard that Penistone Theatre Group present through their shows.

Special FX, professional lighting, and of course, the stunning setting of the Paramount Theatre all add to this wonderfully magical performance.
