A footballing legend will speak at a fundraising sportsman’s dinner in Barnsley next month.
Refereeing star Howard Webb will join Barnsley Football Club’s goalkeeping coach Mark Crossley at the dinner on February 5.
The pair will be guest speakers at the Sportsman’s Dinner in the Legends Suite at Barnsley FC from 7pm. The event is being held in aid of Let’s Club 2gether, a partnership between Barnsley Hospice and Barnsley FC’s community sports and education trust.
Proceeds will go towards helping local people in Barnsley to have access to a better quality of life through sports, education and end of life care.
Sam Silverwood of Barnsley Hospice said: “We are really excited that Howard Webb and Mark Crossley will be joining Let’s Club 2gether for our Sportman’s Dinner. It promises to be an exciting evening.”
Tickets costing £35 are available from Barnsley Hospice. The ticket includes a two-course meal followed by talks from Mark Crossley and Howard Webb. Tables seat up to ten people and can be booked for groups.
