Are you a cook?

I wouldn’t exactly call myself a chef, but I do like to make a good attempt at cooking.

Any cooking tips?

Sometimes there’s nothing better than runny eggs and soldiers. If you pop your eggs into cold water straight after boiling, it stops them cooking any further. Just call me Nigella.

What’s your favourite dish?

Without the student coming out in me too much, I don’t think you can go wrong with a good pasta dish. I love carbonara.

And a drink to go with it?

Pink gin is particularly palatable.

Favourite restaurant in Sheffield?

Bayleaves is a lovely little curry house in Ecclesfield Village. It also happens to serve the tastiest dishes.

And pub?

The Broadfield Ale House does some of the best pies.

What’s the worst meal you have ever had?

Honestly, anything that’s been laced with mushrooms. I’m definitely not a fan.

And the best?

Eggs benedict with salmon, or my boyfriend’s pancakes. I refuse to pick between the two.

Who is your favourite TV cook?

I’m going for cook(s), the Hairy Bikers.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Sheffield is so lucky to have such a variety of foody places. You can go from the biggest chains down to the quirkiest of restaurants and never be disappointed.
