Are you a cook?

Yes – but friends and family experiencing my experimental cooking techniques, would probably say not!

Any cooking tips?

Dare to stray from the recipe books, it’s good to be creative.

What's your favourite dish?

You can't beat a good Sunday dinner with great big homemade Yorkshire puddings and lovely thick gravy!

And a drink to go with it?

A nice glass of red.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Bhaji Shop Thali Café at Kelham Island. The food is incredible, the staff so friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

And pub?

The Brothers Arms in Heeley: the beer garden has the most amazing view of the city. They were also kind enough to host a fundraising event for us.

What's the worst meal you've ever had?

I tried eating snails on holiday in Paris... something I will never be repeating.

And the best?

Thanksgiving dinner cooked by my wonderful sister.

Your favourite TV cook?

The Hairy Bikers because they’re always so cheerful.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Fantastic! From New Zealand-style breakfast at Tamper Sellers Wheel, to a swish meal at the Milestone or Henderson’s Relish pasty from the Proper Pasty Company, there’s something for everyone and I love it!
