Are you a cook?

I like to think so, I am passionate about cooking but have no idea what I'm doing.

Any cooking tips?

Whenever possible, add beer.

What’s your favourite dish?

It's the simple things that impress me... anything home made.

And drink to go with it?

Stella and sunshine.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Blue Bell at Carlton in Lindrick.

And pub?

Grey Horses at Carlton in Lindrick – my local.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

I ordered something in a rural Spanish village called 'dish of the mountain’ (translated). To this day I don't know what it was, but it looked like brain!

And the best?

At the same meal in the rural Spanish village my mate ordered a steak. He could see I didn’t like my dish and gave me half of his.

Maybe it's because I didn't like my meal but that steak still makes my mouth water now. Cooked on an open fire, the smell of burning olive wood added to the whole dining experience.

Your favourite TV cook?

Simon Rimmer

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Great. I particularly love eating on Ecclesall Road.
