Are you a cook?

Yes - when I get the chance.

Any cooking tips?

I enjoy cooking the most when I’ve prepared the night before. Planning is everything.

What’s your favourite dish?

Recently it’s been salmon stir fry with chinese spices, but a chicken madras with all the sundries will always be a favourite.

And a drink to go with it?

Spiced rum and coke.

What’s your favourite restaurant in Sheffield?

Close call between Yankees on Ecclesall Road or Casanova in Crookes.

And pub?

I’ve lived all over in Sheffield, so impossible to pick one. The Yellow Lion in Aston is the current local.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

An ex girlfriend once made homemade burgers - which were served raw in the middle. You can probably guess the end of that particular story.

And best?

Fillet steak from Casanova. Was like cutting through butter. Superb.

Your favourite TV cook?

Simon Rimmer

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

The city centre has really become a great place to eat in recent years.
The Anchorage in West One was a brilliant find recently, as well as regular lunch trips to Fanoush and Street Food Chef at the top of The Moor.
