Celebrated chef Marco Pierre White has chosen Sheffield for the launch of his latest cook book.
The fiery Leeds-born chef will sign copies of Essentially Marco - which focuses on dishes to share, comfort food and restaurant classics - at his New York Italian, West Bar Green, this Saturday October 29.
Diners will be the first in the UK to get their hands on the book.
“A lot of the dishes I cover in my latest cookbook can be easily prepared at home, and guests at the New York Italian restaurant in Sheffield will be able to experience some of these cooking techniques during my visit.”
Places cost £55 per person, including a three course meal, prosecco on arrival, and cookbook.

JÖRO opening delay
The opening of Nordic inspired, hyper-local restaurant JÖRO, built in shipping container complex Krynkl in Shalesmoor, has been delayed.
An online post from the restaurant group said there had been ‘unforeseeable circumstances with regards to building works outside of our control’ and it was unable to open in November. It said a re-scheduled opening date for December would be provided.
Grindleford in the running
Britain’s Best Cafe could be in the Peak District - if voters get behind Grindleford Cafe before tomorrow, October 28.
