A new organic juice bar has been unveiled in Broomhill - thanks to fans who funded its launch through an online Kickstarter appeal.

Inherited Kitchen, next to the same brand’s barbers on Glossop Road, sells pressed juice, coffee and a smoothie crammed with superfoods - while there is also the option to add in extra exotic touches such as maca powder.

Inherited founder Joshua Bonney, aged 23, said: “There is definitely a demand for it. I was in London and looked on Google for a juice bar - there were 15 within a mile so I thought there is something missing in Sheffield.”

Celebrate with cupcakes

Sheffield Cathedral’s cafe, 1554 Coffee, is celebrating its first anniversary this month. All customers will be given a special cupcake on Wednesday May 25.

Manager Ruth Maher said it was a ‘thank you for all their support.’

Food to go at new venture

Popular Broomhill restaurant Lokanta is opening a new takeaway and shop called Med Food Co.

It has taken over the former Lantern House Chinese takeaway and came about as customers often asked for a takeaway food menu, bread, meze to go or grocery products such as Turkish coffee when dining in.

The plan is to open for breakfast, with a charcoal grill for takeaway kebabs and displays for Mediterranean groceries.

Speciality plan extended

Healthy fast food restaurant Nourish, in the city centre, has expanded its meal preparation service to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners.
