TUCK BOX: Hole lot of demand at new Sheffield shop

When Lauren-Eve Hutchinson started to look at launching a business, she never expected people to queue for her doughnuts.

“It’s been so much more than I expected”, said former activities co-ordinator Lauren, a keen home baker who started making doughnuts for markets at Abbeydale Picture House last year and soon attracted a following.

The Brocco Bank resident saidd: “People have been waiting for me to open at 9.45am and I am mouthing ‘10 minutes’ through the window.”

Vanilla is a best seller – perhaps due to Hunters Bar Junior School’s close proximity – but espresso, salted caramel and lemon meringue flavours are also on offer for the adults.

Yorkshire’s best produce – and those who produce it – are lined up for Meadowhall’s first artisan food market this Easter weekend.
