Yorkshire Day today is being marked Italian style at one Sheffield eaterie – with a patriotic pizza!
Pesto at the Waggon & Horses, Abbeydale Road South, is serving up a Yorkshire Rose pizza featuring a design made of mozzarella, basil and golden tomato.
Deputy manager Jason Croft said: “As soon as we realised Yorkshire Day was coming up we wanted to celebrate and worked to ‘Yorkshire-fy’ one of our dishes and serve up a pizza with a twist.”
Pesto is also giving out white roses to its first 12 female diners today.
