Food producers from Sheffield and Derbyshire will appear at a market in Dronfield this weekend.

The event at Dronfield Hall Barn on Sunday Octoebr 1 was founded by personal trainer and nutritionist Jon Hodgkinson.

Producers taking part include Moss Valley Fine Meats, Frazer’s Coffee, Kevin’s Pies, Sheffield Organice Growers and Hedgerow Preserves.

Jon said: “Our aim is simple; we want to highlight the good quality, artisan food and drink that is available right on our doorstep.

“There is some truly delicious and healthy produce out there and it’s really easy to access and show your support for local farmers and producers.”

The market is free and runs from 10am until 4pm.

Soul food Sundays on offer

The second monthly pop up restaurant hosted by ‘soul food’ restaurant The Wing Kings also takes place this weekend.

Edison’s Coffee on York Street, in the city centre, will host the event, which includes three courses of food from the Deep South.

There will also be jazz music, and prices start at £11.95 for two courses for adults. Search for The Wing Kings on Facebook to book.

Get in the spirit at Trippets

Jazz, gin and snacks will be served up in an autumn gin festival in Sheffield.

The event, at Trippets Lounge Bar on Trippet Lane in the city centre, costs £20 including four gins and will allow enthusiasts to discover new products as well as meeting the people who create them.

Ten different distillers are taking part.
