Influential chef Yotam Ottolenghi is one of the major draws of this year’s Off the Shelf Festival.
A favourite with foodies everywhere, and particularly revered by vegetarians, Ottolenghi will be serving up Plenty More, the follow up to his best-seller – and award-winning – Plenty at one of the stand-out pre-festival events.
It’s likely to be a hot ticket – and we have three pairs of tickets to give away to Telegraph readers.
Ottolenghi promises that his night in Sheffield will inspire.
The author, broadcaster and newspaper columnist who has created a food revolution will discuss his philosophy on food – and introduce his audience to kashk and dakos.
The 23rd Off the Shelf Festival proper runs from October 11 to November 1.
This year’s event is the biggest ever with more than 200 events with a diverse range of big name draws, including thriller writer Arne Dahl, broadcaster Kirsty Wark, musician John Lydon and comedian Paul Merton. More than 40 community groups from across the city are also involved. The famous Book Swap takes place in the Winter Garden on October 11.
Tickets to all events can be obtained from the main SIV booking office , telephone 0114 2233777 www.sivtickets.com as well as from Sheffield Theatres’ box office and the City Hall box office.
Sheffield Telegraph and Star are among the sponsors of the event.
