Sheffield date: Peter Andre will play Sheffield City Hall on December 2, 2012.

FLAVA chart-topper Peter Andre will swap pop for caffeine with plans to open his own coffee shop in South Yorkshire, The Star can exclusively reveal.

Andre, aged 38, back in Oz for a special bushtucker trial on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, outlined his coffee shop dreams as it was announced today he will be bringing his 2012 UK Tour to Sheffield City Hall.

Fans will have to wait a year for the greatest hits concert - on Sunday, December 2, 2012 - with tickets going on sale a year to the day, this Friday.

In the meantime he is making a new album and developing a taste for the coffee business after opening his first New York Coffee Club this month with brother Danny in East Grinstead.

He’s hoping his unique new blends and catering more for families will give him an edge on other coffee shops.

“I want to open others in Brighton, London, Manchester and Sheffield - why not? Our flat white is second to none,” he told The Star - log on to thestar.co.uk to hear our chat with him.

“I’ve taken Junior, Harvey and Princess to Starbucks many times. They get excited. But ten minutes in there they want to leave because they’ve got nothing to do.

“I’ve put a Kids’ Corner in my coffee shop so they can go play while I sit down.

“You’re on your internet, you’ve got free wi-fi, book shelves with novels. My good friend Gino D’Acampo has given me some of his books about cooking.

“So you know, it’s more an experience that just going and having a coffee.”

The 22-date tour will see him performing live all of his hits including Mysterious Girl and Behind Closed Doors.

He has also returned to the studio ready to storm the charts with his eighth album.

It follows two sold out tours, two studio albums and his own hit television series - and the Performing Rights Society recently awarded him the Hardest Working Man in Pop.

Peter said: “I’ll cater the concerts for my audience and maybe add more dates. We want to be up close and personal. I’ve got lots of fond memories of Sheffield.”
