Music fans to name Tramlines stage

Tramlines Festival have a launched a competition to name their second stage at the new location of Hillsborough Park.

Entrants will also be entered into a prize draw to win four VIP upgrades and £100 bar tab for the festival.

To enter, suggestions must be made on the comments section of a post about the competiton on the Tramlines Facebook page. The 10th Tramlines Festival takes place at Hillsborough Park from July 20 to 22.

Household names from the worlds of indie, rock and roll, garage, rap, pop and hip hop will be joined by emerging talent from the local area and across the UK.

Headliners Stereophonics, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Craig David’s TS5, are joined by Clean Bandit, Blossoms, De La Soul, Milburn, Jake Bugg, Shed Seven, Everything Everything, Reverend And The Makers, Stefflon Don, The Sherlocks, Mystery Jets, Rat Boy and many more.

Friday’s headliners, Stereophonics, with a reputation as one of the best live bands from Britain, are riding high off the success of their latest album, Scream Above the Sounds.

Tramlines’ new home is licensed for up to 40,000 people.

The site will include four stages with one hosted by the Leadmill and curated on the Sunday by ‘The Reverend’ Jon McClure, and an-all new Library Stage offering contemporary live performances from a variety of emerging talent.

The Into The Trees area features children’s and family-friendly entertainment throughout the day and party DJs by evening.
