PRAYERS have been answered for fans of Sheffield band Reverend & The Makers - they have announced another homecoming date, writes Graham Walker.

The band, who sold out a May 11 gig at the Leadmill in just minutes, are currently supporting Noel Gallagher’s Flying Birds - which included a night at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena last month.

But they are returning as part of an extensive headline tour of the UK in October - with a date at Sheffield’s O2 Academy on October 20.

They will also be supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers at Knebworth Park, on June 23 and Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light, on June 24.

Other festival dates include Playfest, Pontefract, June 2; Greenzone Festival, Loughborough, June 30; Y-Not Festival, Derbyshire, August 4; V Festival, Chelmsford, August 18; Summer Sundae, Leicester and V Festival, Stafford, both August 19.

Frontman Jon McClure said: “Made up to play live again with the Makers! Been way too long. And after we’ve been on tour with Noel we should be super on it! Dancefloor goodness! See ya there x.”
