They have teamed up to perform greatest hits on an 11-date UK tour which includes Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on Friday, February 27.
Queen guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and newcomer Lambert have been rocking arenas with their two-hour plus energetic rock extravaganza all over the world.
They first teamed up in 2009 to perform the band’s rock anthem We Are the Champions on American Idol’s season’s eight finale.
Since then they have partnered at the MTV European Music Awards and sold-out shows globally, including across North America, Australia and New Zealand,
With the perfect mix of rock attitude, mixed with style, theatricality, sex appeal and impressive vocal gymnastics, Freddie Mercury, who did in 1991, would certainly approve.
They recently performed on The X Factor and were awarded Band of the Year at the 10th annual Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards in Los Angeles.
Queen have released a total of 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles and 10 number one DVDs. They have sold around 300 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists. They received the Outstanding Contribution to British Music Award from the British Phonographic Industry in 1990 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
Queen Forever, a new compilation album including previously unreleased material recorded with Mercury, was released in November. Lambert is writing and recording his third album, ready for release this year.
