ALL Fired Up is the debut arena tour from hot girl band The Saturdays and they will be send temperatures soaring at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena, writes digital editor Graham Walker.
They are planning a Christmas cracker of a show when they set the venue alight on Thursday, December 15.
And we have TEN tickets to be won.
After a sell-out series of concerts earlier this year, which saw the five girls perform at Sheffield City Hall, Frankie, Mollie, Una, Vanessa and Rochelle are returning with what promises to be a Christmas cracker of a 11-date tour.
It will showcase their highly anticipated new autumn album but also promises greatest hits such as Just Can’t Get Enough, Forever Is Over, Missing You, Issues and Up.
Bold and edgy latest top-10 single Notorious is a good indication of what’s to come - a tougher, edgier sound, says Una.
She said: “It’s very current. We still have our pop edge, but this time around we’ve taken things a bit more dancey.”
Frankie added: “We want to reflect that in our live show. We want it to be like one big giant party. The best night out you can have this December!”
Rochelle said:”The thought that we are about to take on arenas sends a shiver down my spine.
“It’s everything we’ve ever dreamed of as a band – and we know the end of the year is going to come around so fast.
“Playing an arena is a terrifying, but most exciting thought!”
The Saturdays have sold over two million singles and albums in the UK alone, with nine top 10 UK singles and over 35 million total views on YouTube, more than 650,000 Facebook fans and a combined one million followers on Twitter,
The Saturdays, formed in 2006, were launched two years later on the Fascination Records label, a sub-division of Polydor Records. Their first debut single, If This is Love, stayed in the charts for 17 weeks.
Their debut album, Chasing Lights, produced four top ten singles on the UK Singles Chart and the band embarked on their first headlining UK tour, The Work Tour, in June 2009.
Second album Wordshaker was another UK top 10 hit and last summer The Saturdays released their first extended play ‘mini album, titled Headlines.
It gave name to their tour earlier this year. Now they are back bigger than ever and you can find out for yourself what all the fuss is about.
