The result will be announced on at this year’s Best Bar None awards ceremony at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday, 13 February, with the winners split into Best Pub, Best Bar and Best Nightclub.

Judging for the other categories, which includes Best Newcomer, Best Nighclub and Best Pub, is already complete. Those winners will also be announced on the night.

Best Bar None is an accreditation scheme supported by the Home Office and the drinks industry aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol-licensed premises.

It was piloted in Manchester in 2003 and found to improve standards in the evening and night-time economy. It has since been adopted in 75 towns and cities across the UK and is now being taken up internationally.
