Far Out community theatre company bring some madcap family fun this week with this “panto with a twist”.

Find out if Dame Gertie Albertie can save her beloved circus!

Can Silly Billy make Goldilocks realise how much he loves her – or even make her notice him? Can the Three Bears fulfil their destiny and join the circus?

2014 marks Far Out Theatre’s 10th annual pantomime production, and their first in the heart of Sheffield.

Founding director Vicky Blagden said: “After a successful run at Wath’s Montgomery Hall, we decided to spread our wings and take on the challenge of a city centre venue.”

Rachel Duke plays Goldilocks, Guy Loveridge once again dons his frock and wig as Goldilocks’ mum, Dame Gertie Albertie, and Vicky plays Silly Billy.

The cast has 18 members and ranges in age from five up to 44.

Vicky said: “The real attraction of doing panto is that it is loved by people of all ages. We have literally had babes in arms at our shows with their great-grandparents!

“The family theme runs from the script through to the cast as we have three parents in the cast and five of their children as well!”

Dame Guy continues: “Whilst there are, inevitably, a few ‘double-entendres’ and some ‘nudge-nudge-wink-wink’ moments, there is nothing here that you’d not hear in any Carry On film!”

Far Out say that the move to Sheffield has paid off with good ticket sales that prompted them to add four extra shows, including three on their final day, Saturday. They are still available from
