Busy month of food events in Sheffield lined up
A feast of food and drink events is lined up for this month.
Whirlowbrook Hall will be hosting a series of events in the run up to Christmas and new year, starting with a special celebration of vegan food tomorrow, November 8.
The intimate private dining vegan experience will showcase the quality of the food prepared by head chef Alex Fretwell and his team, and allows guests to indulge their taste buds with the most delicate of flavours.
The six course menu being served on the night will feature everything from black treacle loaf with smoked red pepper hummus; and heritage tomato with pickled shallot, basil and balsamic Vinegar, to wild mushroom risotto and truffle, and dark chocolate tart alongside hazelnut brittle with blood orange syrup. Call 0114 2366142 to book.
If you are already thinking of Christmas, Sheffield bakers Quince and Crumb are cooking up Scandinavian inspired festiva baking courses at The Depot Eatery next Tuesday November 12.
Tickets are available from Eventbrite.
Finally, Ridgeway Christmas Farmers and Craft Market also returns on November 17 at Ridgeway Sports and Social Club.
Visit a real farmers’ market in a lovely country village, with 50 stalls selling locally produced foods. Take home savoury or sweet pies, chutneys, jams and chilli sauces, cheese and artisan bread. Try the handmade chocolates, cakes and brownies, and sample real ales and artisan gins.
The market runs from 11am to 3pm.
