Quadrophenia, the classic British film set against the infamous Mods and Rockers clash in Brighton 50-years ago, was loosely based on the rock opera of the same name by The Who.
The rock legends provided the soundtrack for the story acted out by by Phil Daniels, Leslie Ash, Toyah, Sting, Raymond Winstone and other British greats.
It will be celebrated with a Quadrophenia Night, including a screening of the film plus live music, at Sheffield’s O2 Academy 2, on Saturday, January 31.
DJ Drew Stansall, saxophonist with The Specials, will entertain along with The Orphans, with songs from the film plus SKA, Two-Tone, Soul, 60’s and Mod classics, 8pm to 1am.
Doors are at 8pm until 1am. It’s for over-18s only and photo ID will be required for entry.
